Joining a pottery studio is a big (and exciting) step—especially if you’re ready to take your practice to the next level. Our membership program is designed for experienced potters who want more time at the wheel, access to tools and materials, and the freedom to create on their own schedule.
Below are answers to the most common questions about how memberships work, what’s included, and what to expect once you’re part of the crew. Let’s get muddy.
Membership is best suited for students who have taken at least a 5-class series or equivalent experience. You should be familiar with wheel safety, clay handling, and basic glazing.
Unfortunately, hours do not roll over into the next month. We recommend scheduling ahead to get the most out of your membership.
Only clay purchased through The Pottery Outpost may be used, to ensure compatibility with our firing schedule and glazes. Additional LBW70 or B-Mix is available for purchase.
All firings are included for work made with in-house clay. Just place your pieces on the designated shelves and we’ll take care of bisque and glaze firings. Turnaround time varies.
